Well guys, now that everyone has seen the music video a few times, let’s talk about it!
What do you think of it? Is it anything like what you were expecting?

If you’d like to watch it again before discussing it with us, here it is!

I must say, the first thirty seconds had me very intrigued to say the least! Though it’s quite a surprising video, it does seem to fit what has been called the Two Door Cinema Club 2.0 era so it makes sense in a way, or as much sense as is possible when the boys look like this..

I found it very funny, entertaining and enlightening. There is so much to see and take into account, I watched it again today and saw things I hadn’t seen yesterday! It also brings us more of the new Two Door and really shows how much they’ve grown as a band and as individuals. On a less serious note, I’d just like to point out that no matter how fun seeing the boys as cartoon/video game characters was, this guy is my absolute favourite:

A good 80% of the video’s awesomeness comes from this guy. #twodoorcinemaclub #basement people #gameshow #baddecisions

It’s quite clear that Two Door are no longer just a band that write and play great songs, they’re also speaking out on things they feel strongly about, and in this case what they call “generation information”.

The directors (Sean Wallace and Jordan Dodson) say: ”When we first spoke to Alex on the set of ‘Are We Ready?’, it was clear that he hated social media as much as we did, so we knew we needed to come up with a suitably epic metaphor to illustrate this brilliant song.” Source.

Though I’m sure a lot of you don’t share all of their thoughts on social media etc, after all that’s what brought us together and made possible the basement people community, it is nice to see them speaking out about these things, and I do think it’s important to take a break from all of it from time to time.

Let us know how you feel about all of this on twitter! I love hearing from you, especially when there are new things to discuss, so I thought we’d have a bit of fun. I’ve asked our twitter followers to describe the video in one tweet and I’ll pick some to share on the site! Feel free to join in!

In other news, you may have seen that Two Door’s music will once again be a part of a Fifa soundtrack! Anyone who plays Fifa will know that their soundtracks are usually amazing so it’s pretty cool that Two Door are a part of the new one!

That’s all for now guys, if you’d like to see your tweet on the site get in touch and maybe get lucky!
Talk soon,
Saoirse.
